Three-star linebacker Pookie Maka out of Utah named a top five and Arizona State made the list. His recruitment, though, has hit a bit of a snag as college coaches await transcripts and the results of the ACT he took in October, a source tells me.
"Working on his grades," the source said. "He is right on the edge."
Maka is hopeful he'll know his test score in the next two weeks so he can start scheduling his visits. He intends to take his two-year mission following high school. For what it's worth, Colorado is considered the leader, according to a few people I've talked to in the Salt Lake City area.
