Things just started today at about 9:00 a.m. AZ time and the action will go today, tomorrow and Saturday with the championship rounds Saturday evening.
If you've never watched, I strongly suggest checking it out, especially the championship rounds. Some really intense, exciting stuff.
As a reminder, ASU sent five wrestlers to NCAAs: Brandon Courtney (125), Michael McGee (133), Kyle Parco (149), Cael Valencia (174) and Cohlton Schultz (HWT).
Though it's a light load compared to what was expected at the beginning of the season, McGee, Parco and Schultz have a chance to make some major noise.
I imagine some will ask, but it's really difficult to project where ASU might finish in terms of team standing. If my math is correct, 26 teams qualified six or more wrestlers (so more than ASU), but that's certainly not a guarantee that all/most of those teams will have wrestlers progress as far as ASU.
Needless to say, another top-5 finish seems very unrealistic.
