Prior to Sendek's firing Connor MacDougall was set to transfer out of the program to South Mountain Community College. I believe that even if he stayed ASU would pursue a front court player in the April signing period but MacDougall's situation obviously only heightened the need for that recruiting approach.
It's unclear if MacDougall will still transfer or not, but again no matter who the new coach is I still can see ASU pursuing a front court player in the late signing period.
