The best part about fall camp are the position battles. Here are some that stand out to me:
Field corner: Kweishi Brown is the incumbent, but Solomon Means was on a tear this spring. I think both see substantial time this year regardless.
Left tackle: I think the smart money is on Evan Goodman here so far, but who knows? This could be a critical position for ASU to protect Mike Bercovici, and maybe a guy like @Ralph Amsden favorite Steven Miller could come in and compete.
Running back: Not necessarily a position battle, but such a fun and interesting position to watch. Richard and Ballage could have huge years next year, and that's not even including the impacts that "Gump" Hayes and D.J. Foster could have next season.
Wide Receiver: Outside of D.J. Foster, no spot is safe with this position group. It's presumed that the starters will likely also include Devin Lucien and Ellis Jefferson to start, but there should be buzz surrounding Gary Chambers, Terrell Chatman and Tim White as well.
Third-string QB: Not exactly significant for this season, but it could be interesting to see who gets the majority of the snaps between freshmen Bryce Perkins and Brady White.
Devilbacker: ASU needs a pass rush. This position likely will come from someone who doesn't currently play the position full-time (Boateng, Ballage), so we'll see how this fall goes.
Anything else stand out to you guys?
