Mid-December update on how the other Pac-12 recruiting classes are shaping up.

Arizona

17 verbals (2 QB, 3 RB, 2 WR, 2 OL, 3 DL, 2 LB, 3 DB), Currently #39 class

Best commits: OT Michael Elitise. QB/TE Khalil Tate.

Recent News: DL Jabari Watson decommitted. Utah LB Kahi Neves flipped to U of A from Utah.

Look for U of A to attempt to fill out their roster with local recruits, whether prep or JuCo. They haven't recruited the state as in-depth as they have in previous years, and many local prospects, like Mesquite's Roy Lopez, have been waiting to see if the Wildcats will make a move.

Cal

22 verbals (1 QB, 1 RB, 5 WR, 5 OL, 5 DL, 2 LB, 4 DB), Currently #30 class

Best commits:
WR Jordan Duncan, JuCo G Dwayne Wallace.

Recent News:
Obviously, A.J. McCollum is now a Sun Devil, so there's that. Cal had three commits in three days last week, including local JuCo product MarloShawn Franklin. Franklin was at MCC this year, and is a 2014 graduate of Chandler High. Chinedu Udeogu was a bit of a surprise, as Cal was the 2-star DE's only west coast suitor. He had offers from Pitt and Rutgers.

Cal could still be in the market for a QB, whether a 2016 prep candidate, or a high profile transfer (Kyle Allen?). Recent Tulane decommit Jack Abraham has a Cal offer. Another Tulane recommit, LB Gio LaFrance, who was once pursued by ASU, has Cal in his top 3.

Colorado

12 verbals (1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 3 OL, 1 LB, 3 DB), Currently #73 class

Best commits: Craig Watts

Recent News: 6-8, 260 OT Hunter Vaughn committed last month over Wyoming.

I was told that Colorado is done recruiting WRs for this cycle. The Buffaloes only have 55 offers out to uncommitted 2016 prospects, and considering 20 of those are 4-star and above prospects that they have little to no shot at, they need to find a way to land some talent very quickly. You may see a run on the JuCo programs soon- especially at defensive line.

Oregon

19 verbals (3 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 3 OL, 2 DL, 3 LB, 4 DB), Currently #16 class

Best commits: OL Jacob Capra, DB Jared Mayden

Recent News: Seth Green, Kyler Murray's replacement at Allen in Texas, has flipped to Minnesota, and while some thought that was a window for Kyle Allen to jump in and become the Ducks 3rd QB of this signing class, Tristen Wallace of DeSoto High in Texas jumped in to take his place. The Ducks pretty much shut down their OL recruiting after landing Samuelu Poutasi last week. They also landed the awesomely named WR Eddie McDoom out of Florida last week, as well as California JuCo LB AJ Hotchkins.

Oregon could completely shut down their recruiting on the offensive side of the ball and be fine. Of the 42 offers that have extended to uncommitted 2016 prospects right now, only 11 are ion the offensive side of the ball, including ASU targets Thad Moss and Garrett Bolles. Defensively, they're targeting safety Lamar Jackson, who has ASU in his top 4.

Oregon State

23 verbals (1 QB, 3 RB, 3 WR, 2 TE, 5 DL, 5 LB, 4 DB), Currently #32 class

Best commits: LB Christian Wallace,

Recent News: The Beavers are raiding Arizona. They grabbed Timmy Hernandez and Wesley Payne out of Pima CC to go along with QB Mason Moran and LB Hamilcar Rashed. They have offers out to local guys Landry Payne, Dante Diaz-Infante and Markell Simmons as well.

This is a solid class for Gary Andersen, but not having an OL in the bunch could come back to bit them later on. I'm also not confident that some of their best commits are on track to commit. I expect some changes to their roster of commits before signing day. They were the first official visit for 4-star DE Maxs Tupai recently, and that would be a big score if they could get him to commit.
