As we all know, the defending PAC champs are coming to town on Saturday night and are alleged to be the most physical and powerful team in the PAC...
One capable of imposing their will on any opponent this side of perhaps Ohio St, Alabama or Oklahoma...
And, they just about beat Ohio St in the Rose Bowl last year...
They kicked the snot out of our Devils last season after halftime and I'm wondering if we can even hang with them for a half this year...
They have a lot to play for while we are scrambling to find out if we even have enough talent to win a few remaining games on our schedule...
The tempo of practices has revved up considerably under our interim coach but will that carry over to the game against a titan of a team from Utah..??
Was our talent, let alone our lack of game preparation, really vastly overrated against Eastern Michigan and part of the reason we lost so badly to the Eagles..??
Maybe we just aren't all that good since losing more than half our team after last season, that included all kinds of stars, compared to the new "our kind of guys" recruited to fill that void...
We thought maybe Herm had filled the void pretty nicely until our game last weekend against EMU but now there are questions galore about how good those new players are actually...
Can Aguano come up with some quick answers to get us in a position to win enough games to become bowl eligible or is it totally hopeless at this point..??
Are we really looking at a 2-3-4 win season that might bring back some awful memories from the 2016 season when the Cats last beat us (and beat us badly)...
That season started out with some promise but ended in a total disaster, as we all know...
That was pretty demoralizing for us fans and the team but maybe this season could get even worse...gulp...
However, this time we have a new leader that will be walking along the sidelines, after only three games, so won't have to suffer under the coach that got us here in the first place...
Will that be enough solace for the fan base that has been battered more times than a baseball hit by Aaron Judge..??
Speaking of Aaron, do the Sun Devils have any home-run hitters on its roster these days..??
Of course, against the Br-Utes, it probably wouldn't matter how many HR hitters the Devils had on their roster, right..??
So, what in your opinion is the best case scenario for both this weekend's match-up against the Br-Utes and for the rest of the season that includes the Trojans and Huskies, etc..??
That seems like a very heavy load for both our new interim head coach, his staff and our players but maybe they'll fool us all, not once or twice but enough to become bowl eligible...
How cool would that be...Go Devils!!!
