3 complete to Batson in dead center of field between AJ Latu and Perry with Calhoun underneath. Great tackle by Perry to force punt
4 Giles in flat on WR screen and #14 owns Gump who is totally unable to come off his block allowing 5 yard pickup
5 Cantrell catches behind LOS and Orr nice job fighting off block and making TFL
6 Batson for 28 yards over Whiley and in front of Perry in the seam

11 Pocket collapsing and Mahomes has to dump in flat to Stockton and Whiley hits him 1 yd behind LOS but doesn't wrap and he spins as AJ Latu whiffs as Wreen grabs his arm and then ankles but he gets away. EASILY fakes out Gump left to pick up his jock at their 40 as he continues another 60 (blowing away Orr who had the angle) for a 75 yd TD
12 Mahomes scrambles and Perry makes nice play at the 1st down marker to prevent a completion (pass low, Gump seen doing a trademark 360 while coming up from way behind his man as the whistle blows)
13 On 3rd and 13 Gump provides huge cushion to his man Reggie Davis and Mahomes throws low (although Quinn blames it on the receiver's weak cut) to the sideline for what would have been an 18 yard pickup as Gump arrives a few steps behind (even after the ball was dropped)
14 Giles 13 yard pickup on Moeakiola's coverage to sideline
15 slant to Cantrell right in front of Orr for 15
16 Wicker with sack but credited as no gain
17 Mahomes sees Cantrell a full 5 yards behind Orr down the sideline and Cantrell gets greedy and instead of just jumping and catching , he tries to catch in-stride and it goes off his fingers for what woulda been a sure 50 yard TD (fake WR screen and Orr guessed wrong)
18 this is the one right in front of the ref where #12 pushes Perry out of the way in middle of the field then reverses his route and catches. Gump dives to block (doesn't try to wrap or extend arm) receiver into Moeakiola as he goes down after 23 yard pickup
19 Throw to RB Felton in flat and Gump whiffs with another dive tackle attempt and 6 yard pickup for 1st down before Perry gets him
20 Ball on our 13, pass to WR Batson in the flat, by the time Batson gets to our 11, Moeak is being well blocked out of the play, BUT Gump is once again being owned by his man at the 4 who blocks him back to 3 yards deep in the end zone. 7 yard pickup to our 6
21 after a penalty they have it our 11. Gump's man curls in front to the left and is open, Adam's man curls in from the right and is slightly less open. 11 Yard TD pass to Cantrall, Adam's man

30 1st and 10 from our 13 and Giles the inside slot just does a lazy slant to get behind Mendoza and in front of Perry and then in front of Adams (as he crosses the field) for 13 yard easy TD
SECOND HALF
1 crossing pattern to Giles for 10 yard pickup to start the half
2 Free play due to defensive offsides and Mahomes just throws it up as Cantrell (behind Gump) trips to the ground and ball goes out of bounds
3 RB pass to White in flat for 21 yard pickup wth AJ Latu chasing
4 Gump's best play of the game. A quick hitter to Lauderdale and Gump held him to only a 5 yard pickup on a very nice tackle
5 3rd and 3 from out 13 and Mahomes scrambles out of severe pressure from only 4 rushers and throws to the goal line and Lauderdale fights for it and beats Orr for the 1st down at the 1.
6 1st n 10 from their 7 and Mahomes with rare misfire on dump to White out of the backfield incomplete
7 Pass to WR Batson and Ball (lucky it wasn't a stop-n'go) comes up for a PHYSICAL tackle after 5 yard pickup
8 Lauderdale runs quick slant off a WR pic (but fortunately for Gump if the WR touches him it's a penalty) so Gump follows the otherwise slow developing slant (and high pass that makes the WR have to leave his feet) and makes the tackle with AJ Latu there to ready to destroy the receiver if he the pass would've been accurate. Forces punt
9 dump to RB white for 15 yards
10 good pressure from 5 rushers forces Mahomes up into more pressure in the pocket and Orr has his man well covered down the sideline and dump off man has 4 defenders around him and Mahomes throws away
11 Mahomes on a rare overthrow to Batson on an out where Robinson's cushion would've easily allowed a 15 yard completion on 3rd and 13 "forcing" a punt (despite what the announcers said, no pressure)
12 Mahomes pumps the screen and Gump bites and Matson is side open down the sideline and Mahomes overthrows him out of bounds. Missed easy 15-30 yard pickup or more. Crump's pressure affected the pass
13 Pass to Giles in the flat and AJ Latu unfairly asked to cover a WR and makes a great tackle after pickup of 3
14 on 3rd and 7 very good coverage by ASU. Only 4 rushed and Mahomes had all day but eventually rushed by Smallwood on one side and then escaped Wicker's grasp on the other side and threw away (could not see Gump)
15 1st and 10 from their 7 and sack by Crump when we rushed 4
16 on 3rd and 12 from their 4 Mahomes under no pressure floats one out to the left hash where 2 WRs have converged (both on curl routes at our 22 yard line) to the exact same spot drawing 2 DBs (Robinson and Gump) and Gump comes up for the INT and returns to the 1. Robinson actually had the good coverage and Gump had allowed a cushion and the pass was intended for Robinson's man and it was thrown behind the receiver and directly into Gump's lime of vision. If the pass is to Gump's man it's an easy completion for a 1st down.

18 fake screen and throw to matson on a crossing pattern for easy 12 yard completion that he had to dive for or he would have gained a lot more

24 so on 4th and 2 from their 33 Mahomes sees Calhoun blitzing and with ZERO hesitation, flips to the WIDE OPEN slot man Batson at the 40 and he goes 60 more yards for the TD and blows past Gump who had tried to jump another route to the inside (although his man had curled in) . No blame to Gump, it wasn't his man, just a speed issue
25 1st and 10 from their 25 Mahomes fades right out of pressure and throws low and behind an open WR Cantreall as Orr converges at the 1st down marker. Incomplete.
26 TRIPS LEFT, 2nd and 10 from their 25 and we rush 4 and with ZERO pressure Mahomes inexplicably throws an exceptionally soft floater from the right hash all the way across the field well beyond the left hash that lands 8 yards beyond his intended target(s) (who were fairly well covered by Mendoza and Moeakiola) and into the hands of Gump (who had let his man, #6, get behind him on the outside) who came up for it and dove to catch it at their 37. As Quinn said, "just an ill advised throw and an early decision and overthrows Batson, BADLY" The ball was also a wounded duck.
