Hod, if you will forgive me I'm going to use this thread to keep folks updated on developments for the Houston weekend in September.
I'm on the board of the Houston ASU Alumni Chapter and we really looking forward to an incredible football weekend, showing off our great city and welcoming the Sun Devil Faithful. We have put a lot of time and effort into the planning.
Hopefully, by now most of you know about the ASU Alumni tailgate that will take place in the Texans Practice Bubble across from NRG Stadium. This is an awesome air conditioned facility and we are lucky to have it. The tailgate will consist of Killens BBQ (which is some of the best BBQ I've ever had), alcohol, there will be a DJ, cornhole etc. The Tailgate will begin 3 hours before the game.

As for Friday night, we are doing the Friday Night Inferno party at the Woodrows Bar in Midtown. We will have access to about 3 or 4 bars that are all on the same block. They will have drinks specials etc. So definitely make it out for that.
For those that are still looking for accommodations, we reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate for Hotel Zaza for the Houston Weekend. This is a fantastic hotel, which is literally located in between Midtown (for the Friday night inferno) and NRG Stadium. The Hotel is right on the lightrail and you can take that to both, and it's located in the Museum District. It's the perfect hotel for the Houston weekend. Room rates are generally around $400 a night, and the discount will take them to around $209 a night.
