I get the road losses...sort of. But how did we lose to the Cardinal at home? I saw it. We were terrible. But so was Stanford. I’m pretty certain we would win a rematch now—probably by a bunch. Maybe we just needed to bottom out before the lights came on. But we are a much different team now. One game from bowl eligibility and three games from so much more. Granted, we caught a little luck at SC with their physical problems and today when the Utes lost their QB. Nevertheless, this isn’t the same team that sucked against Stanford.
Our OL did to the Utes’ DL today what the Utes have been doing to others the past few weeks. We got turnovers. Manny was mostly Good Manny except for his brain fart. Our kicker picked a crappy time to blow a FG but we overcame it. Our coaches made some changes and we finally slowed down Moss. We were good.
We generally played so well today that I might return next week for the UCLA game. But I sure hope the team that lost to Stanford never suits up again.
