Following the official announcement of the hiring of Bobby
Hurley, we caught up with one-time ASU pledge Lindsey Drew, who was named Los
Angeles City Section Player of the Year to get his reaction to the hire and his
future recruitment with the Sun Devils.

"I always liked Arizona State and I always considered them,"
Drew said. "I just had to keep my options open (following Herb Sendek's firing)
and see what was going to happen with the situation up there. I've been keeping
in contact with (assistant coach) Stan Johnson, and if Arizona State reaches
out to me I want to get to know the coach (Hurley) and see what the style of
play is. I know his dad is a big time high school coach at St. Anthony's so he
has good history.

"So we'll see what happens."

Drew's commitment to ASU
at the time was contingent on the Los Angeles Fairfax guard attending a prep
school and reclassifying as a 2016 recruit due to scholarship limitations. In
recent weeks Drew has explored recruiting options that included USC, Nevada and
others, that would have him remain as a 2015 prospect and an incoming freshman
this fall. Additionally Drew isn't participating in any of the events this
month that are part of the April recruiting evaluation period.

"If I go to Arizona State and they (ASU) want me to come in
at 2016 I will go to a prep school," Drew remarked. "I have no problem with
that. It just all depends on what Bobby Hurley says and what kind of relationship
I have with him."

A source close to recruitment of Drew said that there is a
chance that the guard could still join ASU as part of the 2015 class and that
this did depend on Hurley's decision on the matter.
