I'm hesitant to do this on account of catching hell for 'hyping' other youngsters, but the track record's spotless, so let's roll the dice again.
I was at Spencer Rattler's debut. I was at Ryan Kelley's debut. Jack Miller is one of the best young quarterbacks I've ever seen.
The 2020 QB plays for tiny 2A Scottsdale Christian, and the whispers had been getting loud enough that I had to spend a Friday watching him play.
He's legit.
Footwork- A
Arm- A
Running ability- B
Poise- B+
Decision Making B+
These grades aren't for his age, they aren't for his competition level- they're for him, in comparison to other varsity QBs I've graded this year. Using this sample size, in conjunction with his film... He's top 12 in the state right now.
All my equipment was in my car that got stolen, so I wasn't able to get as much film as I usually do. Here's a small example of his arm and legs.
Chilly talked to him a little after their game.
Scott Bordow from AZCentral was out at the game as well. I like Scott. He's often grouchy and our perspectives clash all the freaking time, but I respect him. He HATES hyping kids. Here's what he wrote:
"He’s the best young quarterback I’ve seen since I started covering high school football again in 2010."
And he's not one of those kids that got held back, he's 14.
The rumor was he was destined for Saguaro, but wanted varsity experience and is hoping his presence will help get kids to enroll at SCA instead of him transferring to have better competition after his sophomore year (when Max Massingale graduates).
