Do you guys remember your first favorite ASU player at all? For me it was Van Raaphorst. Growing up in NYC the Pac-10 wasn't very popular and rarely was I able to see west coast teams. If I did it was USC or UCLA and college football coverage was a fraction of what it is today.
The Sun Devils of course had a great 1986 season and he was a leader. Anytime I think about my earliest ASU football memories he is definitely the guy. Just curious as to who some of your favorite Sun Devils were growing up whether it be the 70's 80's or 90's?
