The portion that was open for the media was very uneventful. Some drills were mixing up of sorts as we saw quarterbacks practicing tackle technique and defensive backs practicing ball security. We saw mainly special teams drills. Punt returners were Tim White, Jalen Harvey and DeChavon Hayes. Kick returners were Hayes and Kalen Ballage.
Grant Martinez re-injured his left ankle this morning. He was wearing a protective boot and was on crutches. No word on when he will be back but more than likely that it won't be before next week. Bad luck again for a player that actually had some flashes in fall camp.
Aside from Martinez, fellow tight end Dan Vear and Antonio Longino were also the newest green jersey players. Their injuries appear less serious so we'll see if they will be practicing at Camp T.
As reported earlier Jason Lewis was practicing tonight, although not doing much since he is still in the acclimation period. At Camp T we may get a better idea how he can contribute.
