Confirmed this report via a chat with Holmes that there is "definitely interest" in ASU as a transfer destination in the summer. He will have two years of eligibility left upon transfer. Played sparingly in the 2014 and 2016 season (redshirted in 2015).
Holmes told me that he did receive his official release from the school and will "definitely" be contacting the ASU coaches this month. If he did sign with ASU he would count towards the 2017 class.
