I’m in the middle of a 17 night, 6 site camping trip with the kids. We stopped by Stanford and Oregon since I’d never been on either campus. Stanford was truly breathtaking. The library, church, frat row, old and new student unions- so cool. We toured the mechanical engineering building because my kids want real jobs when they grow up and I was blown away.
I did not care for Oregon... for a variety of reasons. Wasn’t bad, just didn’t impress me... but holy bananas the football facilities reminded me of seeing a lamborghini in a trailer park. They have swimming pools in the freaking parking garage.
My biggest takeaway now that I’ve been on 10 of the 12 conference campuses is that ASU has literally everything anyone could want (unless a choice is proximity driven). They might not be #1 in any given focal point for a recruit compared to what the conference has to offer, but there’s nothing that ASU doesn’t have.
