Over the last 10 years arguably the 2 largest organizations in PA have been exposed for covering up child molestation on a rather large scale. (Penn State and now the Catholic Church)
It's a strange thing the human psyche. I'm no doctor. But, it seems so strange to me that when presented with these realities, most people seem to take the position of "ya, but"
Ya, our program was molesting kids for 20 years but, I like tailgating outside the stadium so can we please move on.
How are these 2 organizations not treated by public perception at least on an equal level to how Arthur Anderson was treated for covering up what ENRON was doing? Are the crimes not at least equal?
It baffles me that as a society our energy seems to be spent in preserving these 2 organizations instead of that energy going toward gutting organizations that have ruined thousands of lives.
