QUICK HITS
  • Roe Wilkins’ forced fumble and Shannon Forman’s fumble recovery in the third quarter represents the first lost fumble by the Beavers all season. Oregon State came into the game having committed only three turnovers in nine games.
  • The 14 points scored in the first quarter were most the Sun Devils have scored in an opening quarter all season. ASU matched the most points they have scored in any half, producing 21 points in the first half.
  • Brandon Aiyuk’s 63-yard punt return in the second quarter was the first punt return for a touchdown allowed by Oregon State since Washington’s Dante Pettis took a punt 89-yards to the house back on November 21, 2015.
  • He collected 293 (173 receiving, 76 punt return, 44 kick return) all-purpose yards, the fifth-most in single-game program history.
  • The Sun Devil defense forced the Beavers into back-to-back three-and-outs to start the second half, the first time they have done that to an opponent all season.
  • Jayden Daniels finished the fourth quarter 8-of-10, throwing for 143 yards and a touchdown. He finished with 334 passing yards, his fourth game reaching the 300-mark. Only 11 times has a freshman in ASU history recorded a 300-yard game, of which Daniels now has four.
  • It was the eighth time in 10 games that ASU held an opponent under 150 total rushing yards (151 vs. Utah, 217 vs. UCLA). The Devils had just five such games last season.. It is the most since have nine such games during the 2015 season.
MILESTONE COUNTDOWNS
  • By finishing with 70 rushing yards in today’s game, Eno Benjamin now has 2,585 in his career. He moves with 33 yards of Darryl Harris (2,617 yards from 1984-87), who is in 12th place on ASU’s all-time career rushing yards list.
  • Kyle Williams made 3 catches, giving him at least one catch in 38 consecutive games. He moves into sole possession of fourth-place in ASU history in consecutive games with a reception (passing N’Keal Harry’s 37). The streak is currently the fourth-longest active in the FBS.
ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS
  • Eno Benjamin’s two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter gives Benjamin at least one touchdown in 17 games in his career.
  • Benjamin now has 25 career rushing touchdowns, only three shy of cracking the Top-5 in program history. The junior has 30 total touchdowns (25 rushing, 4 receiving, and 1 blocked return) in his career.

BIG-PLAY FRANK
  • Frank Darby hauled in a 24-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter, his fifth touchdown catch over the past three games. Prior to that, Darby had caught five receiving touchdowns in 30 career games.
  • The touchdown reception was the ninth total touchdown of his career that went for 20 or more yards.
  • 21 of Darby’s 54 career catches (39%) have gone for 20 or more yards.
  • Darby now has 12 catches for 262 yards and five touchdowns over his last three games.
BRAND-NEW BRANDON
  • Brandon Aiyuk continues to be a weapon in several aspects of the game.
  • He finished the game with 173 receiving yards, the sixth 100-yard receiving performance of his career.
  • He collected 293 (173 receiving, 76 punt return, 44 kick return) all-purpose yards, the fifth-most in single-game program history. This represents his seventh performance with 100+ all-purpose yards this season and 11th of his career. He eclipsed 200 all-purpose yards for the fourth time in his career.
  • Aiyuk’s 63-yard punt return for a touchdown was the first by a Sun Devils since N’Keal Harry had a 93-yard punt return against USC (10/27/18).
  • He has now caught a touchdown in two consecutive games.
WHERE THERE IS A WILL-IAMS, THERE IS A WAY
  • Kyle Williams caught a touchdown against Oregon State for the third consecutive season.
FINISH STRONG
  • The Sun Devil defense was dominant once again in the fourth quarter. They did not allow a score in the final 15 minutes and have allowed just one fourth quarter touchdown over the past seven games (at Utah).
  • ASU is now allowing just 3.3 points per fourth quarter against FBS opponents this season.
  • ASU allowed just 98 total yards of offense against the Beavers in the second half of the game after allowing 295 in the first half.
FRESH FACES
  • Freshman made an impact for the Sun Devils once again.
  • With Kejuan Markham getting his first career start, eight true freshmen have started a game for ASU, the second-highest total in the nation behind Alabama (9). ASU’s 5 offensive true freshmen to start a game this season are the most of any team in the country.
  • All told, 32 true or redshirt freshmen have played for the Sun Devils this year (21 true, 11 redshirt), tied for the third-highest total among FBS programs this season behind Clemson and Oklahoma.
CAREER HIGHS
  • Brandon Aiyuk’s 293 all-purpose yards represent a career-high.
  • Aiyuk also made a career-best 10 catches.
  • Merlin Robertson recorded a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss.
  • Khaylan Kearse-Thomas (11 tackles) and Jermayne Lole (8 tackles) matched their career-highs.
