THE PRICE IS WHITE
  • Rachaad White was a workhorse at running back for the Sun Devils, getting a career-high 22 carries due to the absence of DeaMonte Trayanum.
  • For the fourth consecutive game, White scored two touchdowns on the ground, giving him 10 total touchdowns (9 rushing) in his first six games as a Sun Devil.

  • Jack Jones added two pass breakups and the defense had a total of six passes defended on the night.
LINE CONTROL

  • He only managed to run for 35 on 13 carries, with the Sun Devils controlling the line of scrimmage.
  • After the Rebels rushed for 88 yards on 32 carries, Antonio Pierce’s defense has only allowed 166 yards on 58 carries (2.9 ypc).
NO IFS ANDS OR BUTLERS
  • Darien Butler has enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2021 campaign, backing up a two interception season debut with another great performance.
  • He finished with two sacks, eight tackles, and was an organizer and leader of the dominant Sun Devil defensive effort.
  • It was his first multi-sack effort, making him one of only five players in the country with two interceptions and two sacks so far this season.
  • The eight tackles led the Maroon & Gold.
PARTY IN THE BACKFIELD
  • Arizona State finished the night with seven tackles for loss and five sacks, living in the Rebel backfield.
  • Tyler Johnson registered his first sack of the season and now sits at 12.5 for his career.
  • Five different players were credited with a sack, including the first career sack for Gharin Stansbury.
