- In Stanford quarterback Tanner McKee’s four starts this season, the Cardinal were averaging 34.5 points per game prior to their 10-point effort on Friday.

- Arizona State has won each of their last five Pac-12 Conference games, all by double digits.
- It is the first time since the 1996 Rose Bowl campaign that the program has accomplished the feat.
- With wins by margins of 63, 13, 22, 19, and 18, ASU is outscoring Pac-12 opponents by 27 points dating back to the 70-7 victory over Arizona last season.
IN NO RUSH
- Stanford accumulated just 13 total rushing yards in the game, the lowest total against an ASU defense since UTSA had just two in 2018.
- It was the third time this season ASU has held an opponent under 100 rushing yards.
- It was the lowest tally for a Pac-12 game since Washington State had -52 in 2016. UCLA also had a -1 yard rushing game two weeks prior.
- Since David Shaw took over as head coach at Stanford in 2010, six of the program’s seven-highest rushing seasons in history have occurred and 7 of the top 10. Entering this season, Stanford averaged 209.9 rushing yards per game under Shaw. Friday’s 13 yards were the second-lowest by a Shaw-coached Stanford team behind only a six-yard rushing effort against Washington State in 2019 (on just 10 carries while throwing for 504).
NO FLY ZONE
- ASU picked off Stanford quarterback Tanner McKee three times on Friday having thrown 120 passes this season without an interception before throwing his first three career picks on the evening.
- ASU had its streak of consecutive games holding opponents under 250 passing yards ended at eight games . That was the longest streak since ASU had an 11-game stretch across the 1991 and 1992 seasons.

- The Sun Devils have held opponents to less than 30 points in 26 of 36 games under Herm Edwards, notable as it DID allow 30+ in 32 of 43 previous games dating back in a span from 2013-17.
- ASU now has multiple games this season in which it has held an opponent to EITHER: less than 100 yards rushing OR less than 100 yards passing. It is the first time that has happened since 2012 (four games under 100 yards rushing and two games under 100 yards passing).
- ASU has yet to allow an opponent play over 40 yards this season after entering the weekend as one of just three teams in the FBS to lay such a claim.
- With none tonight, ASU has allowed just seven plays over 50 yards to opponents since the 2018 season over 36 games. The .19 50+ yard plays per game allowed are second-fewest in the FBS in that time behind only Washington (.11 per game on 4 plays over 36 games). ASU ranked in the bottom 10 nationally in 50+ yards played allowed each year from 2014-17.
- With none allowed tonight, ASU has allowed just 49 TOTAL 30-plus yard plays (1.4 per game/36 games)) since 2018. For perspective, from 2014-17, ASU gave up 38, 44, 40, 40 such plays, respectively ranked 116th, 124th, 117th and 119th.
TURNING OVER A NEW LEAF
- ASU has forced 44 turnovers in its last 17 games dating back to 2019, the most in the nation over a 17-game span (2nd - Iowa, 42). ASU has multiple takeaways in 12 of those (and three or more in seven of them). ASU has 49 takeaways overall since the start of 2019.
- The three turnovers were all interceptions, the second game with three picks this season and fifth in the last 12 games dating back to the end of the 2019 season.
- Three different players recorded interceptions, including the first in the careers of Jordan Clark and Keon Markham.
SECOND HALF SUCCESS
- Arizona State continues their impressive second half performances, holding Stanford to only three points after the break.
- The Sun Devils have outscored opponents 92-26 in the second half this season.
- They have been equally dominant in the fourth quarter, holding a 47-9 advantage after pitching their 4th fourth quarter shutout of the season.
- ASU came into the fifth in the FBS in allowing in second-half points per game against its FBS opponents. They managed to lower that number to 4.7 points in the second half.
MONEY DOWN
- Stanford converted three of their first four third down opportunities early in the game, but the Sun Devils tightened up.
- The Cardinal managed to convert only two of their next ten third downs, finishing only 5-of-14 (35.7%).
- On the other side of the ball, the Sun Devil offense was 7-of-13 on third downs.
PARTY IN THE BACKFIELD
- The Maroon & Gold finished with seven tackles for loss and five sacks, living in the Cardinal backfield all night.
- ASU has had at least 7.0 tackles for loss in five straight games, its longest streak since an eight-game span in 2015.
- The Sun Devils entered the game first in the league and 19th nationally in averaging 3.20 sacks per game and those ranks can only improve with a 5.0 sack effort tonight.
JAY WALKING
- Jayden Daniels continues to get the job done with his legs, rushing for his 10th career touchdown.
- He rushed for 76 yards, going over the 75-yard mark in a game for the third-time this season and sixth-time in his career.
- Daniels is only 53 yards shy of 1,000 career rushing yards, approaching the total in only 22 games.
GROUND AND POUND
- Arizona State controlled the line of scrimmage, rushing for 255 yards.
- It is the fifth time in the last nine games they have eclipsed 250 yards on the ground as a team.
- In the Herm Edwards era, ASU has rushed for 200 or more yards 12 times and 250+-yards 10 times.
- The Sun Devils have rushed for 150 or more yards in 10 straight games, the longest span since a 12-game run 1975-76.
- Coming into the game, ASU’s 32 rushing touchdowns in its last eight games are the most in the nation. They added three rushing touchdowns tonight, giving them 35 over their past nine games.
