Hey guys, ASU was back at practice again Wednesday. Today's was the second and final practice the media will be able to view before the Devils host Michigan State on Saturday. Here's what Jeff Griffith and I saw:

PERSONNEL NOTES
--Following the opening stretch period, we noticed the following players head into the bubble: K.J. Jarrell (R-Fr/DB), Ty Thomas (Soph./S), John Humphrey (R-Jr./WR) and Ryan Kelley (R-Fr./QB).
-- For the second time this week, Steven Miller (R-Jr.-OL) wasn't seen at practice. He practiced last week and started against UTSA.
-- Like what he did Tuesday, Zach Robertson (Soph./OL) was back at practice for a portion of Wednesday morning. He worked out with the offensive line (as seen below), but did not participate in team drills. He was in the bubble last week nursing a left knee injury and missed the UTSA game.
--N'Keal Harry (Jr.-WR) was missing in action during yesterday's 11-on-11, but was back with the first team today, as expected.
--Trelon Smith (Soph./RB) was also once again missing today. Herm Edwards said he'd miss this week for a "coach's decision."

--The second-team quarterbacks also never saw the field during today's viewable 11-on-11 period, so they're based off of recent practices. Tuesday, Dillon Sterling-Cole took all second-team reps, but Kurt Walding saw the majority of last week's such snaps.

-- This was the first time that we've seen Koron Crump participate in 11-on-11. He was only in for there for a few plays at the end of the period but that's progress compared to the rest of camp.
-- On the first play of the 11-on-11 period, linebacker Merlin Robertson almost sacked Manny but the quarterback just barely released it in time. His throw was low to Kyle Williams.
-- Renell Wren broke into the backfield quick on one run, swallowing up running back Isaiah Floyd just moments after he grabbed the handoff.
-- Tillman safety Das Tautalatasi has been burned a few times over-pursuing a tackle but he stayed disciplined Wednesday. After Floyd caught a quick pass, he ran horizontally a bit before cutting back to the middle of the field, but Das was right there to make the tackle.
QUOTES OF THE DAY
"If they don't think they can run the ball against us, they'll throw it. That's up to you guys. Don't let them run it." -- Defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales said to Darius Slade and other defensive linemen.
