I'll go by year starting in 2008 when Dennis Erickson was our coach...

Will include year, team ranking according to Rivals, number of commits in class and average player rating...

2008 - #21 team ranking - 28 recruits in class - 3.08 average player rating

Note:
as we all know this followed Erickson's 10 win season and first place PAC finish with USC

2009 - #30 TR - 22 RIC - 2.95 APR

2010 - #35 TR - 26 RIC - 3.04 APR

2011 - #57 TR - 19 RIC - 2.63 APR

Note: Erickson fired after 2011 season and Todd Graham hired for 2012 season

2012 - #38 TR - 15 RIC - 2.79 APR

2013 - #34 TR - 25 RIC - 2.88 APR

2014 - #21 TR - 29 RIC - 3.07 APR

Note: Todd had ten win seasons in 2013 and 2014

2015 - #20 TR - 24 RIC - 3.25 APR

2016 - #32 TR - 20 RIC - 3.20 APR

2017 - #50 TR - 22 RIC - 2.45 APR

Note: Graham was terminated after 2017 season and Herm Edwards was hired

2018 - #38 TR - 20 RIC - 3.10 APR

2019 - #36 TR - 23 RIC - 2.96 APR

2020 - #27 TR - 21 RIC - 3.33 APR

2021 - #65 TR - 14 RIC - 3.14 APR

Note: NCAA investigation started earlier this year and is still ongoing

2022 - so far, ASU is not even ranked by Rivals since they have so few commitments to date

How would you evaluate what Erickson left Graham based on this data..??

How would you evaluate what Graham left Edwards based on this data..??

How would you evaluate Herm's recruiting to date using this data..??

Finally, if Herm is retained and continues at ASU where will we most probably end up as a program from a recruiting standpoint..??

Will it be where we've seemingly almost always been as a fair to middling football program or closer to where the Cats presently reside..??

Go Devils!!!
