Was hard not to hit the fast forward button on most offensive sets.... that said:
Was pretty impressed with Ami Latu, especially compared to expectations. That entire DL was pretty stout playing a fast pace offense, that ran quite a few plays. Shipp should be pretty proud of himself. Patterson as well.
Thought that Carrington and Brown played well against what was a pretty tough WR group. Those 2 are going to have big year.
The freshman, K Murray for A&M was a needle mover and Kirk the same. In a couple years (or sooner), those 2 are really going to be a handful together.
At best, we seemed to lose the field position battle "again" with the return game... and throw in the running into the kicker(s) and TD against, that was really a difference maker. When returning kicks, it is still tough to figure out if we have a blocking scheme.
Was surprised how many plays that Perry was in on. Don't know how many tackles he had, but he was around the ball a lot. He's going to be a stud.
Thought Fiso had some nice plays but still looks a little inconsistent. Sam probably the same boat, but both these 2 were pretty productive.
The cameraman was a bit too skilled at capturing CTG in what looked like a passion filled tantrum on the sidelines.
Calhoun?
Some good stuff to takeaway, and guess that Slocum and Norvell both bounce back leading their units to more productive games in the last 2 non conference warmups.
Game Ball: J Shipp and his guys.
