Like many of you, I often think about who would be the perfect hire for ASU. This came out on Pitman and Arkansas: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-arkansas-revived-its-program/
I've been watching Arkansas since last year and moderately paying attention to the SEC because of COVID.
The thesis being Arkansas needed a guy who understood the line work and how to win at Arkansas. I am not sure that is the core reason Sam has turned it around, I personally think that a lifelong coach being given his first head coaching opportunity at a place he loves PLUS his prowess on the line are equal factors here.
But, what is the perfect makeup for ASU?
Witnessing the abortion in Tucson and our "situation" is sobering on how far a program in this state can fall.
