Arizona State commit Alex Perry had a solid night Saturday against Chandler and five-star wide receiver N'Keal Harry. The two didn't match up much, but when they did Harry was held without a reception. The one catch he had was called back for a Harry push off.
Perry looked smooth in his backpedal and, when he had to press, did so very well near the line of scrimmage. He's fluid in and out of his breaks, and what really stood out to me was the leverage he played with. He wasn't going to let Chandler beat him deep, yet he still did well to attack the ball when it made its way to him on sweeps to the edge.
Also caught up with 2017 four-star safety Damuzhea 'Bubba' Bolden, who told me Arizona State had watched the game. It sure sounds like the Sun Devils could be very close to offering Bolden, who has told Rivals.com in the past that he intends to play with Perry at the next level. Bolden showed well at ASU's 'Maroon and Gold' camp earlier in the summer.
