I asked Shaun Aguano if ASU has approached him about taking the running backs coach position. He said that's news to him. Principal Rother said the same. I continue to maintain that while a hire like that makes sense if you don't think about it for too long, it's important to remember that position coaches often recruit their position. If the whole point of bringing Aguano on is to land In-State kids, wouldn't it make more sense to bring him on in a capacity where he isn't spending all of his time trying to get running backs from California and Louisiana?

Aguano is a good man, a good coach, and would probably be a solid asset. I'm just not sure there's fire under this smoke.
