Some thoughts from the game

SC exposed us for what we weren’t. We weren’t big enough, fast enough, or good enough to play with them when they bring their A game. And DJ eluded to an attitude of some players (listen to or read his comments).

It didn’t help that we played them a week after they were embarrassed by the Irish. I’m sure they were pissed and came out with redemption on their mind. They played like the four and five stars that they are. Their coaches had them well prepared for us. And we don’t start many players who would play for them. Pretty tough to win under those circumstances.

From their first drive I thought we could be in trouble. They were playing at a different speed than we were. We also might have been over amped and a little chippy. That might help to explain the number of dumb penalties and loss of composure. Hopefully we recover and move on to get ready for the Buffs. Learn from SC what they learned from their loss to the Irish. There is still a Bowl game to play for if we can go 50/50 the rest of the way.
