Obviously, the news is out there that Lindsey Drew will now open up his recruitment and that's a tough loss. He was tracking to be a Rivals150 guy if he stayed in 2016 and did a year of prep. He may be one without it. There aren't many PG's left out there and he's going to get hit hard by people.
Anyway, I've been doing my best to reach out to current ASU commits to see what their reaction is.
The 2015 guys Dom Green and Andre Spight are both signed so they would have to be released by the school. Still waiting to hear back from them, but I'm sure they will both be asked to wait and see who the new coach is and meet with him before they are released from their LOI's. Green was essentially never recruited by anybody else but ASU and is a bit of an unknown to the vultures. As for Andre Spight, he just had a good week at juco national tournament and the vultures are definitely swirling on him. People scrambling to find info on him but he won't be able to talk to anybody without a release. Haven't heard back from either of them yet.
In 2016, Lucas Siewert's coach William Middlebrooks told me that the news was still too recent for them to know what Lucas will do. So he's in wait and see mode.
Brendan Bailey, still working to get in contact with him, but a big part of him picking ASU was his sister being there on the volleyball team and the family feeling comfortable with the school. Suppose a lot of this one could end up with whether or not Barrett Peery is retained as well. That's just me speculating. Will add when and if I hear anything else on him or any of the other commits.
