Ryan Newsome was recruited by Arizona State out of Aledo, Texas. He originally committed to UCLA, but Jay Norvell helped flip him to Texas. He's transferring, and ASU players are lobbying him to head to the desert. He's visiting Arizona State next week.
At Texas, they play big wideouts in the slot. He's not big, so getting on the field would have been tough as long as Charlie Strong is running the ship.
