ATTIRE: Shells
LOCATION: Verde Dickey Dome
GUESTS: I saw people from the Titans, Redskins and Saints there. I overheard the Titans guy mention #57 Evan Goodman, but I'm not sure for what reason. Funny note: As media and the NFL visitors left, I heard one Redskins scout talking about how Todd Graham is a Cowboys fan.
AVAILABILITY: About 25 minutes
EN VERDE (No Contact): OL Marshal Nathe, OL Tyson Rising, OL AJ McCollum, DB Maurice Chandler, LB Christian Sam
Note: TE Jay Jay Wilson was at practice today
TILLMAN JERSEY: WR Tim White
NOTABLES:
After sustaining an injury during Monday's practice, QB Bryce Perkins was not at practice today. I did not personally hear any speculation as to what his next step with the program may be. Hod posted more here in The Huddle about the Perkins transfer reports.
OFFENSE:
Practice started with the standard ball security drills for each position group.Transfer WR Ryan Newsome was once again running with the wide receivers.
The media was only allowed to see one tempo session where the offense went against no defense. However, both the first team and second team got in and here's how they looked:
First team: QB Manny Wilkins, RBs Demario Richard, Kalen Ballage, WRs Tim White/Ellis Jefferson/Jalen Harvey, TE Kody Kohl,TE Raymond Epps, LT Evan Goodman, LG Sam Jones, C Stephon McCray, RG Quinn Bailey, RT Zach Robertson
Second team: QB Brady White, RB Jacom Brimhall, WRs Cam Smith/Ryan Jenkins/Frank Darby, TE Raymond Epps, TE Tommy Hudson, LT Mason Walter, LG Connor Humphreys, C Cohl Cabral, RG Cade Cote, RT Steve Miller
It seems like the offensive line is taking a bit of shape here. One thing to note is that Cohl Cabral was once again getting second-team center reps ahead of Tyler McClure, who received a lot of reps at center during Camp T. Cabral has turned some heads thus far.
Note: Gammage is usually on the second team, but I don't think he got reps in this one particular series down the field. Again, it's just one session. They kicked media out before the 11-on-11 team session, so he could have run a lot with the twos there. Jenkins was getting time with the second team at Camp T, and did today.
Once again, Manny Wilkins ran with the first team and Brady White got reps with the second team.
"H" DRILL:
This drill made an appearance at practice for the second consecutive day. Much like Monday, the offensive line surprisingly held its own, which is a positive considering the defensive line seemed to win most of the battles throughout Camp Tonotozona.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
ASU lined up on special teams and Cohl Cabral was the long snapper. I saw one high snap, but other than that, he looked pretty good.
