No. 18 Arizona State football returned to the fields for their first practice of the week in preparation for their matchup against Washington State on Saturday. Here are our observations from the media viewing period.

· Jordan Clark was not seen in attendance. He has been dealing with injury issues and his appearance at practice has been on and off.

-- Freshman Josh Plaster also attempted field goals during the period as he converted 2/3. Plasters made attempts came from 48 and 47 yards out and his lone miss came from 52 yards in which he pushed it wide right. Plaster has been practicing as a long field goal kicker for ASU in recent weeks but has yet to attempt one in a game.
-- “We’re taking one back this week,” wide receiver coach Charlie Fisher said to the team’s kick returners during kick return.
-- A scout from the Atlanta Falcons was spotted in attendance.
-- A crew from HBO was spotted at practice as they had multiple cameramen capturing all of ASU’s practice for their new series 24/7 College Football. ASU’s episode will air on Oct. 16th.
