ATTIRE: Helmets and pads
LOCATION: Kajikawa Practice Fields (it was overcast, probably the nicest weather they've had for practice this season)
MEDIA AVAILABILITY: ~ 20 minutes (NO TEAM TEMPO or 11-on-11)
GUESTS: A pair of scouts from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in attendance
EN VERDE: None, that I saw
TOWEL AND SUNSCREEN (limited): TE Grant Martinez, OL Tyson Rising, LS Mitch Fraboni, LB Marcus Ball and LB DJ Calhoun
Notes: DJ Calhoun didn't even participate in stretching. He was on a knee when reporters were allowed in, and walked (on his own power) into the bubble. He wad a very heavy tape job on his left ankle.
Marcus Ball was doing sprints during individual drills. Fraboni was asked by Graham to do some snapping, which is the first time we've seen him do so in practice in a long time.
OUT LAST WEEK: He wasn't "out" last week, but Tim White was a full participant in offensive drills during the media viewing session. He should play this week.
DL George Lea was a full participant, as were Zach Robertson and Salamo Fiso (suspension). They should all be back as well.
TACKLE CIRCUIT: Tackling was a noticeable struggle last week against UTSA, so LBs coach Shawn Slocum said he wanted to make the "Tackle Circuit" last a little longer. Some of the groupings were odd, as Jalen Bates and Edmond Boateng worked with the safeties. Also, Khaylan Thomas looked good and healthy while fully participating.
BALL SECURITY: Other than Tim White being back healthy, not much notable from these groups. N'Keal Harry is still big, though.
OTHER NOTE: Dillon Sterling-Cole was wearing a grey jersey today, which is normally reserved for practice but ASU has abandoned them since fall camp.
MADE ME CHUCKLE: Demario Richard, ladies and gents.
As always, let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. (Also, happy official NBA 2K day for all the gamers out there).
