Similar to last night, the media was not allowed to see much at this morning's session. Coach Graham had the team scrimmage inside the dome so after walk-thru, stretching, and special teams walk-thru, the media was asked to vacate.

That being said, I still noted a few things that I wanted to pass along.

Like Hod said last night, freshman running back Jason Lewis was dressed and in attendance. He was not in pads and did not participate in the scrimmage but let me tell you, that kid, physically, is impressive. Yikes. Lewis, Jay Jay Wilson, Steve Miller, and Bryce Perkins all immediately make you say "wow."

Speaking of Jay Jay Wilson, the frosh athlete shed the non-contact green jersey for the first time this fall and actually worked out with the Devilbackers. The list of potential Devilbackers seems to grow with each practice. By my count, DJ Calhoun, Ismael Murphy-Richardson, AJ Latu, Chans Cox, Jay Jay Wilson, and Marshall Wallace all went through Devilbacker drills before the start of the scrimmage.

Side note: Kalen Ballage was on offense this morning.

Another list that continues to grow is the amount of players in green non-contact jerseys. This morning I noted Christian Westerman, Antonio Longino, Grant Martinez, Jacom Brimhall, Fred Gammage, Antonio Longino, Dillon Faamatau, and Cam Smith (obviously).

Terrell Chatman was not in green but spent time at Muscle Beach during the walk-thru.

If I had to guess, it looked like both Westerman and Longino were set to participate in the scrimmage.

Laiu Moeakiola was not in a green jersey but I also didn't see much of him during the defensive walk-thru.

With Calhoun spending more time at Devil, the linebacker trio during walk-thru was: Christian Sam (WILL), Salamo Fiso (SAM), and Marcus Ball (SPUR).

I also saw Armand Perry lining up at 1st team safety opposite Jordan Simone.

PT-42 jerseys for Simone, Longino, and James Johnson.

The team leaves for Camp T at 1:30 this afternoon. Hod will be there all week covering practice. Holler if you have any questions.
