Since 1950, ASU leads in the games against the UA: 36-28-1, a 56% win rate. However,the U has upset us quite a bit. Thus, we have the better team a much higher percentage of time. How can we show this? In any year, we play games against common opponents. Say in one year we play 6 games against common opponents. We go 5-1 against the common opponents, and UA goes 3-3. In that year we would be considered to have the better team. I would greatly appreciate someone going through the yearly records for common opponents starting in 1950, and see how the yearly common opponents statistics come out.
