In 2022 behind NFL top 5 QB draftee Tanner McKee (with his backup Ari Patu the heir apparent playing in 6 games over 2 seasons and attempting 25 passes), Stanford went 3-9 with wins over Colgate/Notre Dame/ASU (scoring a combined 31 points vs Notre Dame/ASU)

Offense---10th in Total Offense and 11th in Scoring Offense in the Pac in 2022
They lose their multi-yr starting QB Tanner McKee along with all 3 of his big multi-yr starting WRs but they do return their star TE Yurosek and 3 other 2022 starters from a pathetic offense. They lost 4 of their 5 OL and will now start a true frosh along with 5th year transfers from Harvard and Penn

Defense--10th in both Total D and Scoring D in the pac in 2022
They lose their top 2 players to the NFL in CB Kyu Blue Kelly and Safety Patrick Fields along with their top 3 tacklers and 6 of their top 7. Overall they return 2 starters from a pathetic D

Special Teams--they lose their average punter but return their 18-18 FG place kicker Josh Karty

Such a PERFECT position for Stanford to be excited about in 2023

In 2023 theymiss ASU/Utah
Home Games vs Sacramento State/u4/Oregon/UCLA/Udub/Cal/Notre Dame
Road Games vs Hawaii/USC/CU/Wazzu/Oregon State

It would take a LOT to do better than the 3-9 in 2022 but 4-8 looks somewhat possible
