Other Notes & Quotes:

- Punt returners: Jack Jones, Brandon Pierce, Nick Johnson

- Cristian Zendejas was seen hitting a 50-yard field goal. Jack Luckhurst fell short from that distance, while Josh Plaster was seen making one from 45 yards

- DeaMonte Trayanum dropped 4 short passes today. One was thrown behind him and not his fault, but the others were on him. Chalk it up to first-week jitters

- As usual, defensive back Chase Lucas was full of interesting comments in addition to the one in the tweet above. At one point, he said “I need at least two (interceptions) today.” While he was on the sidelines, he said “I’m trying to get better for you,” before fist-bumping an official.

- “You’re not a freshman anymore!” Offensive line coach Dave Christensen shouted toward his first-team unit as they came off the field after a series. It seems safe to assume he was directing this at Scott, who had some bad snaps today from the center position.

- Athletics directors Jean Boyd and Ray Anderson were spotted in attendance at today’s session

That’s it for today! Follow along the rest of this week and throughout the next month or so for continued coverage of ASU’s Spring practices.
