He's done a great job thus far, although the bar was sooo low after RA and, honestly, the past several ADs we've had. Here's my wish list for things I'd like to see Rossini do. Feel free to add your wants as well.
Not in any particular order:
1. Replace the "Go Gold" standard with the "Maroon Monsoon". Take ANY team sport in the world and ask, "what is the ONE item that every fan of any team wants to wear on gameday?" It's the team jersey of course. What color is our main jersey? Maroon.......so why in the hell would ASU (yes, many who work at ASU aren't very bright) make the official color something other than the main jersey color? ASU should be the "Maroon Monsoon" every game, with specialty games to include: Blackout and a "Go Gold" game where we bust out the gold jerseys. If you want to make "Gold" the official color of ASU Basketball, which has Gold jerseys, then go for it! Better yet, make the fan color Maroon and the student section Gold, to highlight those kids. Fans want to wear their teams jersey, and that's true worldwide.
2. It's time to start pushing our national official name/moniker as "ASU" instead of Arizona State. A small thing, but MAYBE this ends ESPN and other outlets from calling us "Arizona" all of the time. "ASU" is easy and rolls off the toungue like LSU, SMU, BYU, UNLV and ever A&M. This has to be a push by Rossini and ASU in the media.
3. A revamp of the plans for the area surrounding SDS/MAS, Mullett and DFA. It needs to be athletics and fan focused, incuding a robust tailgating area with grass. ASU has gotten a TON of national media attention for not only the season, but how the season ended. ASU needs to take advantage of that and really push to create a much more defined and revered fan experience for ASU Football. This is how you create generational fans and build that local fandom.
4. Controversial: Our main logo. I like both Sparky and the Pitchfork, so this isn't to get into an old school vs new school debate. BUT, someone pointed something out when the brackets were released and I have to agree. The pitchfork looks too small compared to the other logos. Sparky would fill the whole square, while the pitchfork just doesn't. I don't think that having Sparky as the media logo is a bad thing.
For example:
Either have Sparky alone or I kind of like this idea (similar to tOSU above):
