The Good

Brady Corrigan was a stud. He gave it his all for the Devils and I was really happy to see him have some success. Swift, finished his ASU career (possibly) strong with a double down the line in the 9th. Baez continued to rise to the occasion with a couple of bombs.

The Bad
ASU doesn't play team baseball. On a 2-0 count your batting average wants you to swing but the team needs you to work a count.

We saw phenomenal individual plays by several of our defenders, including the Pac 12 defensive player of the year Drew Swift but we struggled in team aspects of fielding like bunt defense or finishing off the out when a runner gets picked off.

The Ugly
Our pitching outside of Corrigan.

So, What is next?
We should find out rather quickly. When Esmay resigned it was just over a week after ASU was eliminated by Sacramento State. I would expect Ray to move quickly if he decides to make a change.
