This is just a weird season to reconcile and determine where there it was a more successful campaign than a failure or vice versa?
I know the 25-1 record did have its fair share of cream puffs in it, but at the end the day ASU is going to post an RPI in the 30s and be far from squeaking in into postseason play.
Yes the conference was brutal in terms of its overall strength, and wins were hard to come by when facing your league foes, but winning just 12 of your last 28 games and just two out of the last six games doesn't really have you brimming with confidence wherever your regional will be located at and wherever your seed may be next week.
The only thing we can be certain about is that we're not going to see a coaching change I just don't see Smith being fired after making the postseason even though the team was less than impressive down the stretch.
