The NFL just announced that they will play the black national anthem "Lift Every Voice and Sing" before the American national anthem in week 1.
If the athletes stand for the black national anthem but kneel in protest during the American national anthem what will be the response from the traditional NFL fan base?
I'm not interested in bringing the politics of it to the board or hearing anyone's emotional beliefs or what you will or won't do. Please don't share that here.
But, from a high level view the financial side to this is potentially gigantic.
The reality is the half of the country that wants things to open up and go to events is NOT going to be happy about this. The half of the country that is supporting movements like this is begging people to stay home. It will be very interesting to see what comes of this.
