despite his youth and lack of experience, he had the bones to work with as a DB assistant coach and developer of talent
having HE/ML/AP around during his first year or who knows how much more, made it much easier to overlook these issues
his passion for the game, exposure to high level recruiting at USC, his pops' connections and his impressive nature were an easy sell (and the example being set by the likes of Will Harris at Udub did not hurt)
but there is no doubt that recruiting was his calling card.......and while he has only been involved with the 2 most uniquely difficult recruiting cycles at ASU since WWII, he is killing it
but the reason that I posted this is that he is killing it in ways that I did not expect for at least another cycle
he is not relying solely on his pop's connections (which would be impressive if that alone was the majority of his efforts along with the rest of SoCal........LTG!/Isaiah Johnson/Regan/etc). But he is showing up as the LEAD RECRUITING CONTACT for Quarterbacks and other positions (Duffy), Florida preps (Allen/Marshall/Hill), Louisiana preps (Mathews)
