Or, at least one of their sports columnists - Michael Lev - says so in his column today titled "Why I'm rooting for ASU in the Peach Bowl"...
First he acknowledges that this is blasphemy to do so in So Arizona where the hatred for the Devils knows no bounds, but is rooting for our Sun Devils for what they represent as a member of the disrespected Big-12 conference by the SEC and B1G conferences...
And, as we all know the College Football Committee ranked all three loss SEC teams - Bama, Ole Miss and So Carolina - ahead of any team in the Big 12 and included Miami, that lost to Iowa St in a bowl game, ranked four spots ahead of BYU, etc...
It's about brand bias just because they belong to the SEC so Lev will be rooting for the Big-12 and the conference champions ASU Sun Devils in their game against Texas tomorrow...
He also says that the Sun Devils are kind of likeable in that they have a RB like Skattebo who refuses to be tackled and a coach like Dilly who is "open, energetic, enthusiastic and uplifting"...
So, he's rooting for our Sun Devils and against the current college football oligarchy represented by the SEC and B1G...
I seriously doubt that anybody else down here will be rooting for our Sun Devils and I doubt that if our roles were reversed, that I would be rooting for the Cats in a game like this, but we all know what he's talking about when it comes to the uppity SEC and B1G, don't we...
