There is no way college football will unfold the way it stands today, 3 Power 5 conferences play, the rest cancel / postpone to Spring. The NCAA and all the D1 schools and conferences will have to agree or the game's fabric will unfold.
Here's what happens the way it stands today:
- No 2020 CFP
- No Bowl games
- Most college football teams will play 2 seasons in 2021 calendar year (not safe according to some coaches)
- We will see teams decide to leave conferences (like Nebraska) to play Fall schedule
- Some teams will allow fans (Baylor / Oklahoma) some won't, greed will kick in ahead of public safety
- Teams that "wait until spring 2021" will have this years recruits eligible to early enroll and play in January?
- Recruiting in complete disarray
- NFL draft, can kids with 2 years played and 1 canceled season declare? will they sit out the Spring?
Status quo will not happen, either the NCAA and all D1 teams agree or absolute chaos follows. With 5-6 weeks to go things will look completely different.
