TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State sophomore running back Eno Benjamin was recognized for his outstanding performance in ASU's upset of No. 16 Utah on Saturday in being named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list for the second consecutive week.

Benjamin, who hails from Wylie, Texas, went over the 1,000-yard mark for the season after running for 175 yards and two touchdowns against the Utes. Benjamin scored ASU's first (six-yard run in the first quarter to put ASU up 7-0) and last (44-yard run in the fourth quarter to put ASU up 38-20) touchdowns of the day as he ran for 121 of his 175 yards in the second half.

Benjamin, who has six 100-yard games this season, enters this week's action No. 5 in the nation in both rushing yards (1,113) and rushing yards per game (123.7), seventh in total touchdowns (13) and 11th in rushing touchdowns (11). He needs 117 yards to surpass ASU's top single-season mark in the Pac-10/Pac-12 era (Ryan Torain 1,229 yards set in 2006).

This is the third time Benjamin has been recognized by the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award in 2018. He was named to the award's weekly honor roll after running for 185 yards and two touchdowns in ASU's 38-35 triumph at USC (Oct. 27). Benjamin earned Pac-12 Player of the Week, Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week after he set ASU's single-game school rushing record with 312 yards in ASU's win over Oregon State (Sept. 29).

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, announced in 2012 by the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler, recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity; specifically tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.

In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four year D1 Texas college.

The Sun Devils (5-4, 3-3 Pac-12) return to action on Saturday (noon MST) when they host UCLA at Sun Devil Stadium. The contest will be ASU's annual Salute to Service Game. To purchase tickets, call the Sun Devil Ticket office at 480-727-0000 or go online to TicketMaster.com.
