after being hobbled and out for weeks, he returned to action on Saturday and played well

in limited reps he had 2 solos and a PBU

the PBU equals the combined total of PBUs by our starting safeties over the past 6 games (all 4 games in 2020 and the 2 games in 2021.....................Evan Fields' PBU vs USC)

Cam Phillips had a PBU (in very few reps) deep down the middle of the field vs SUU and then was injured and out for UNLV. Hopefully he is back this week as his tackling and pass defense is sorely missed (even though he got 4 total reps in 2020 and not many more vs SUU)

perhaps Timarcus Davis' return will be on par with Jordan Clark's but he was out longer and possibly with a more severe issue, so I am not expecting much...................hope for another surprise

In the meantime, it is great to have Clark back and mixing it up well at the nickel corner (especially after Chase Lucas struggled mightily there covering anyone SUU chose to attack him)
