THE ASU VICTORY...
  • Ends the team’s streak of losses in road/neutral site games at five games - its longest since the team lost 7 straight road/neutral games in the last five of 2016 and first two of 2017.
  • Is the first victory at Folsom Field since 2014, having lost the last two contests played there.
  • Represents Sun Devils’ second-straight win over CU after having lost three of the previous four games.
  • Moves Arizona State record in the all-time series against the Buffaloes to 10-3.
KICKING OFF
  • Arizona State has not had a player with three rushing touchdowns (X Valladay) and three receiving touchdowns (Elijhah Badger) since at least 1996.
  • Colorado quarterback J.T. Shrout completed only 38% of his passes, which is the fourth-lowest mark by an opposing quarterback against teh Sun Devils in the last decade.
  • ASU has held opponents to less than 30 points in 33 of 51 games since 2018 (64.0 percent), notable as it DID allow 30+ in 32 of 43 previous games (74.4 percent) in a span from 2013-17.
  • Since 2018, ASU has held opponents to 400 total yards of offense or less on 28 occasions over 51 games (54.9 percent of the time). For comparison, ASU accomplished the feat just 24 times in the 65 previous games (36.9 percent) from 2013-2017.
  • The Sun Devils have an interception in ten straight games dating back to last season and 15 of the last 16 games.
  • ASU extended its streak of games with at least one takeaway to 17 straight games, the second longest streak in the FBS (Georgia State, 20).
  • Since 2018, ASU has rushed for 100+ yards in 40 of 51 games (78.4 percent).

MILESTONE WATCH
  • X Valladay reached 4,000 for his career (currently at 4,041).
  • Merlin Robertson reached 300 in his career (currently at 300).
TRENT-ON WENT-OFF
  • Quarterback Trenton Bourguet got the start and was magnificent in the victory.
  • He finished the game 32-of-43 throwing for 435 yards and three touchdowns
  • Bourguet accounted for the 10th-most passing yards by a Sun Devil since 1996 and 15th-most yards through the air in a single game in program history.
  • He had the most yards since Mike Bercovici had 510 yards on Oct. 10, 2014 in the Jael Mary victory over USC.
  • It is the most passing yards by a Sun Devil quarterback in his first start ever.

  • Bourguet started the game extremely well, going 9-for-9 for 161 yards and a touchdown before his first incompletion
  • Bourguet eclipsed 400 yards passing early in the third quarter, becoming the first Sun Devil quarterback to reach that mark since the upset win over No. 4 Oregon in 2019.
  • He is the first Sun Devil quarterback to complete more than 30 passes since Manny Wilkins had 31 against San Diego State on Sep.15, 2018.
PROS AND CON-YERS
  • Jalin Conyers first game with two touchdown catches. He finished with six catches for 108 yards and three touchdowns on the night.
  • He becomes the first Sun Devil tight end ever to catch three touchdown passes in a single game.
  • The last time a tight end caught two touchdowns in a game was Chris Coyle in a victory over Washington State on Nov. 17, 2012.
  • Conyers is the first Sun Devil to catch three touchdown passes since Brandon Aiyuk did it against Washington State on Oct. 12, 2019.
  • The tight end duo of Conyers and Messiah Swinson combined to make nine catches for 163 yards and three touchdowns.
VAPPY VALLADAYS
  • X Valladay was dominant en route to making some history in the victory.
  • He reached 4,000 rushing yards in his career, becoming just the 11th running back in Pac-12 history to accomplish the feat. Only 142 players in FBS history have reached that mark.
  • Valladay now sits at 4,041 career rushing yards after his fifth 100+ yard game of his career.
  • Scored his ninth touchdown of the season, already reaching a career-high through eight games. He has a total of 11 touchdowns and is on pace for one of the most productive seasons by a Sun Devil running back.
  • It is his fourth multi-touchdown game of the season, a feat he only accomplished three times in 38 games at Wyoming.
  • He came into the game fifth in all-purpose yards among active players and added 136 yards to that total tonight.

MONEY BADGER
  • Through his first 12 games as a Sun Devil, Badger had seven receptions for 61 yards.
  • In eight games this season, Badger has hauled in 45 catches for 627 yards and four touchdowns after another fantastic performance. He went off for 137 yards on eight receptions, with 66 of his yards coming after the catch.
  • He had six catches for 103 yards in the first half alone.
  • Back-to-back 100 yard games for Badger, first player to do it since Brandon Aiyuk had 100 yards against No. 4 Oregon and Oregon State back in November of 2019.
  • In those two games, he has combined to make 14 catches for 255 yards.
MISCELLANEOUS
  • ASU opened the game with back-to-back touchdown drives. The first was 8-plays, 64-yard drive capped by an X Valladay four yard touchdown run. The second went for 75 yards, taking seven plays. It is the first time since the season opening victory over Southern Utah in 2021 that Arizona State has scored touchdowns on their first two drives.
  • The Sun Devil defense had 127 straight plays without allowing a touchdown as the Sun Devils didn’t allow the Buffs into the endzone until the 10:52 mark in the second quarter. They held opponents out of the endzone on 20 consecutive drives dating back to the fourth quarter of the win over No. 24 Washington.
  • Arizona State’s defense was aggressive on defense finishing with six tackles for loss, six pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception.
  • Sun Devil wide receivers finished with 215 yards after the catch.
  • The 557 yards of offense are the most by Arizona State in a game since they put up 558 in a victory over Oregon State on Sep. 29, 2018.
  • Bryan Thompson's emergence has continued, as he caught six passes for 70 yards. Over his last four games, he has 17 catches for 304 yards.
  • The Sun Devil offense had 14 total chunk plays, 11 of which came through the air.
  • First catch of Chad Johnson Jr.’s collegiate career.
