Tyler Johnson adds so much. Went out with a stinger or something but came back
Merlin had his best game of the season
Butler is so steady. every game, every year (only 18 games but he is the epitome of a Sun Devil). Sure hope he heals quickly.
Crosswell had a big game with 2 HUGE PBUs and a huge INT
Willie Harts got very valuable PT & for a true frosh played admirably. That will benefit him and ASU as the season progresses but we missed Phillips big time
Backups TJ Pesefea/Timarcus Davis/Roe Wilkins all had their best games of the season
Soelle was not credited but was huge contributor to the sack that Lea got with 2 plays left in the first half (should have gotten 1/2 sack)
Lucas' CB blitz' were not successful (not even from a pressure standpoint)
This was by far the least amount of player rotation of any game this year. (partially due to Kobe/Phillips being out
Waiting for word on Steven Miller (Hemsley did a good job in his spot and Miller had allowed both sacks to add to his lead.........although 1 was kind of a coverage sack but it was a sack and the other caused the fumble) and D Black's injuries
That's 2 15 yard penalties on Pearsall this season. He is a stud but there is no excuse for this
one.
Turk and Zendejas need to get back on the train.....and our kickoff specialist could only reach the 8, 12, 14, 10.............................but typical for the game" nailed one" to the 1 that left them at the 18 after the return with 2:44 left in the game
Can't wait to see what DG does with an extra week to prepare for Wazzu
I had us at 4-1 at this point (with a loss to Michigan State). A true freshman QB with 2 road wins is very impressive even if the rest of the team was a veteran squad, which we are about as far from that as any team in FBS
