That was the quote when they made Likens one of the highest paid Assistant Coaches in the PAC. What a joke. He never had the resume for this type of position and the results say he should be fired immediately. $700K/year for this.

Then you have a 5th year OVERRATED QB who apparently truly doesn't know how to read defenses nor does he understand game and time situations.

Likens is squandering Harry almost as bad as Herb squandered Harden. If he is retained as OC for next season it's doubtful that anything will get better on offense. He doesn't have the skill set to build an effective scheme around the weapons we have and certainly doesn't know how to build a scheme to counter that weapons the opponent has on defense.

But this goes back to the CTG years by coddling Wilkens and never truly giving the other QBs a chance to win the job. They all left because they know they were sold a bill of goods about "competing" and a promise that the best player would play. Wilkens was never the best player. He was a mediocre QB with almost zero upside.

Can't blame the defense. They've played hard in every game this season and better than anything CTG produced over at minimum the last half of his tenure here. In past seasons, when we had a decent to good offense, this defense would have us on the brink of greatness.

Likens has to go.
Wilkens can't go soon enough.
