He was referencing the highs of big wins when fans thought the program had broken through and the lows of terrible losses when fans thought his program was irreversibly broken.
Of course Sendek was unable to ever capitalize on momentum for the program but was also never down and out either.
So was he right? Or was it a self fulfilling prophecy?
This is what I’ve been asking myself leading up to the Kansas football game this weekend. One part of me thinks a loss here could snowball Dillingham into an irreversible slide. Another part of me thinks win or lose, it’s just a game in a 3-4 year plan.
