I tore mine last night. I was stepping onto a high platform, heard a pop, and pain unlike I've ever before felt immediately followed. I believe it's a partial tear because I don't see any palpable indentations in the calf muscle, which would indicate a full tear.
I'm going to see a doctor today but am wondering if I should even bother with my PCP and just go straight to a specialist.
Appreciate any anecdotal advice you can offer. Man, getting old suuuuuuucks!
