Based on a story published on an SC site, several of the football magazines are out with their forecasts and ASU isn't given much respect in a year where the Pac 12 South isn't getting much respect, either:
"Athlon’s order of Pac-12 South is USC, Utah, Arizona, UCLA, Colorado, ASU. Street and Smith calls it USC, Utah, UCLA, Arizona, Colorado, ASU. Lindy’s predicts USC, Utah, Arizona, UCLA, ASU, Colorado."
So the magazines didn't set the bar very high for Herm's first year as HC. If we finish last, he's generally meeting their expectations. That game against Oregon St will be something to look forward to this year. Thankfully, it's played in Tempe. I am so glad I renewed my season tickets.
I guess the positive is this: ASU's academic ranking may have finally exceeded it's football ranking. And the second positive: If this is the way it plays out, Frank isn't alive to see it happen.
